Description
This was created on a 22" x 30" stonehenge paper using vinyl charcoal, compressed charcoal, and a kneaded eraser.
I tried to portray our dependence on technology and how we often get sucked into our electronic devices. As a result, we become unaware of what is going on around us. This was inspired by Gary Turk's video called "'Look Up' - A spoken word film for an online generation." The link is down below. This is a great concept!
I am very aware myself that electronic devices have already way more power over me than I can control. It's quite alarming and I try not to spend too much time with all those gadgets, not really successful though.
I think you depicted the addictive power very well. It really feels like my PC and the internet try to suck out my whole brain sometimes.
